Parking adventures at work. Not people taking up two parking spaces, but making their own spots.

Pictures 1 & 2, the pickup is in a legal spot, someone parked next to them in what is not a spot, and then the Edge parked next to that car in the middle of the road.

Me: "Then get the hell out of my firelane and if I see you parking in it again I'll have you ticketed or towed. Just because you're driving an ambulance doesn't mean you get to park it anywhere you want."
I will not tolerate anyone parking in a firelane in my jurisdiction no matter who they are. It eliminates fire/ems/pd being able to get into a or service a building . As well, the biggest violators of parking in the wrong space tend to be the ones who need the walk

One of my friends was the retired fire chief of the local fire department. He said they rolled up to a fire alarm and a new BMW was parked in front of the fire plug. They just eased the bumper of the truck up to the BMW, and pushed it up against a dumpster. They put out a little fire, and made sure to write a ticket to the BMW owner. He said he parked there for "just a few seconds" to run an errand.

Well, it's not like there was a shortage of spaces. Looks like they were trying to maximize shade coverage.
