Riots are a byproduct of socialism.

What he meant was murdering millions of your own citizens and throwing millions more in prison is a byproduct of communism.

Socialism and communism are different: communism is a hard form of dictature, socialism is a soft kind of dictature.

A woman walks into the Liverpool benefits office, trailed by 15 kids...
'WOW,' the social worker exclaims, 'Are they ALL yours? 'Yeah they are all mine,' the flustered mother sighs, having heard that question a thousand times before. She says, 'Sit down Terry.' All the children rush to find seats. 'Well,' says the social worker, 'then you must be here to sign up. I'll need all your children's names..' 'This one's my oldest - he is Terry..' 'OK, and who's next?' 'Well, this one he is Terry, also.' The social worker raises an eyebrow but continues. One by one, through the oldest four, all boys, all named Terry. Then she is introduced to the eldest girl, named Terri. 'All right,' says the caseworker. 'I'm seeing a pattern here. Are they ALL named Terri?' Their Mother replied, 'Well, yes-it makes it easier. When it is time to get them out of bed and ready for school, I yell, 'Terry!' An' when it's time for dinner, I just yell 'Terry!' an' they all come runnin.' An' if I need to stop the kid who's running into the street, I just yell 'Terry' and all of them stop. It's the smartest idea I ever had, namin' them all Terry.' The social worker thinks this over for a bit, then wrinkles her forehead and says tentatively, 'But what if you just want ONE kid to come, and not the whole bunch?' 'I call them by their surnames!'

Socialism breeds an attitude of false-entitlement.
People who are given things they didn't earn eventually adopt the attitude that they deserve those handouts, just as much as the hard-working people deserve what they've earned. From there it's a short step to "I'm entitled to more than you're giving me". Socialism breeds laziness and kills self-reliance and motivation. Why try hard if I can sit on my fat socialist butt and do nothing and achieve the same result? Besides, people who support themselves are usually too busy working to run through the streets yelling GIMME GIMME GIMME! |

Have you actually correlated frequency of riots with the degree of "socialism" by country? Or is this PFTA (pulled from thin air)?
That's assuming you can actually coherently define "socialism". Because "NOT a democracy or a hint of freedom" and "People who are given things they didn't earn" are very different things. E.g., I expect there weren't many riots in Hitler's Germany or Franco's Spain or Stalin's Russia, etc, even though those would meet the first definition quite well. And there aren't many riots in today's Denmark, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, etc, thoguh those would meet the second definition. In my experience, Americans use "socialism" as a general pejorative for something they don't like even if they don't know or agree on why or what it actually is.
