And I don't live in NJ. This was made by the s/o of someone I grew up with in a town quite close to where I live. Not sure how often the prior posters have visited beaches in the New York bight.. but the before picture is grossly inaccurate..That looks more like Coney Island or Riis park

I've never seen a NE beach that looked like that and while I never miss an opportunity to diss Joisey I think you boys are gonna hafta look a bit closer to home. That is Pacific Beach in San Diego July 5th 2006. "Left behind at 7 SD County Beaches on July 4, 2006: 8,000 pounds of trash 45,000 cigarette butts"

A good part of Long Beach used to look like that regularly when I lived there (CA). People are frikkin' slobs.
Northeast beaches do tend to be clean, albeit rocky and cold by comparison.
