I'm a full on Pinz fan. Mogs are fun, but they're just so overdone. I love the smaller, far more agile Pinz. Sure, it's running independent suspension, but that only slows down people who are TOLD that it sucks offroad. Those of us who have abused independent suspension vehicles know that they're perfectly capable of ripping it up, it just takes a bit more driver skill.

Also, only one of the two has a Zeinith carbed, air cooled engine! Look familiar?

I also think that a Pinz can be stripped down a bit more for cruising the strip on a Friday night...take off the doors, top, rear hatch, etc and you have an open air sex-machine!

I do love me some 710M goodness!

I had a Unimog and it was very capable, have been to some rides where some Pinzies were at and they performed well too. The Pinzie seems to be a lot easier to drive and handle. Been half way thinking about selling my Gamagoat and getting one.

The Pinzgauer has all ind. suspension and hydraulic diff. locks (so you can lock while moving); also has a backbone chassis tube which I've seen pics of, but not sure where.

They also have portal axles to give extra clearance - anybody know what the gnd. clearance actually is?

As you can see, they are a lot bigger than a Syncro Vanagon, and a lot worse on the hwy, but a lot better off-road.

If 6x6 is not enuff, you could always get a Piranha - they are 10x10.
