It was the perfect last episode of the season. 'You know who' grew 'some' and returned to his original alter ego self....ah....such great writing and acting!

I don't know where you go from here....

Don't want to ruin it for you west coasters but you better watch it soon because I want to say some stuff that would give away the story....

Again...wow! :eek::eek::eek:

JE928sx4 10-09-2011 09:25 PM

That is by far the best hour of television that has EVER BEEN!!!! Holy crap!!!! That was some kind of makup job on Gus. How'd they do that? You would think that would be a wrap on the show for good........but they already announced next season. What now?

pwd72s 10-09-2011 11:25 PM

Okay, it's over here...didn't want to read this thread until it was. Wow...great season final! That's all I'll say...some in Hawaii may not have seen it yet.

JE928sx4 10-09-2011 11:48 PM

What regulars on this forum are from Hawaii?

Someone already posted it on You Tube - terrible quality but you can still see Gus at the end...yikes!

Must have got the same people who did the "Terminator" makeup for Ahnold.

But what is the significance of the final scene zoom-in on the plant ?? Did Walt have something to do with the poisoning? What happened to the supposedly riacin loaded cigarette ????

Of course. Remember .... he is a chemist. This is stufff he would know.

Bottom line .... Walt cleaned everything up nice and tidy.

lane912 10-10-2011 09:09 AM

season five......

mike returns from mexico to find the remains of season four, contacts jesse with a plan to use gus's network to distribute product and enlist walter and the use of the car wash as a lab site-

Breaking Bad - Inside Breaking Bad: Episode 413, Face Off – AMC

pwd72s 10-10-2011 09:15 AM

This series has had so many twists and turns, I wouldn't hazard a guess about next season.

that nothing was random, everything was planed. Walter was playing for all the marbles and wasn't going to loose-

That was a great shot...Gus emerging from the room, the straightening of the tie, the camera angle making you think Gus had emerged unscathed somehow, then the pan around to see half the face missing...and the collapse! Just fantastic!

abisel 10-10-2011 10:53 AM

Outstanding make-up! Enlarge to full screen and watch for the eye muscles moving inside his skull.

Breaking Bad - Breaking Bad Talked About Scenes: Episode 413, Hector Has a Surprise for Gus – AMC

tabs 10-10-2011 11:07 AM

I was dead wrong about Skylars bang buddy Ted getting involved in da biz...tripped, fell and killed himself...

Walt IS an EVIL mtherfker..and that is why I like him so much..HE DID POISON THAT LITTLE BOY..to get Jesse back in his camp.If U recall Walt was sitting out by the pool with the Rod on the table that he twirled..that was where he came up with his plan..to poison the kid, so he could get Jesse to draw Gustavo out into the open. Last scene shows the Lillys of the Valley plant being right next to the chair Walt was sitting in while he was thinking...
The first plan with the bomb in the car Gustavo smelled something was not right and avoided his end.

Once ole Sal the Shyster told Walt about Samenulka being an enemy of Gustavos ...well it was a no brainer that the old man was going to be the delivery agent...Gustavo at the end thought about the dangers of offing the old man himself...but quickly discounted it as he couldn't make the connection to Walter.

They destroyed the Lab because Walt knew that the DEA would be all over it shortly, since Gustavo was killed with a known Cartel Playa...

Now where do we go from here???????

Well Walt and Jesse are gona be needin CASH to go into bizness fo dem selves...If you remember Jesse went with Mike on all the CASH DROPS...so all they have to do is go out and collect....

CAR Wash as a LAB NYET.....

Walts Millionaire Buds are gona play a role. I suspect Walt is going to be bying them out...

These guys don't do anything that doesn't have a meaning or role to play..so watch little things..

I love it....."I WON"... Evil Mtherfker..

Baz 10-10-2011 02:54 PM

Yeah Tabs - good run down - I knew right away when they zoomed in on the "Lily of the Valley" in Walt's backyard pool deck they were telling us HE was the one who poisoned the little kid. Walt White is Da Man! I wouldn't want to go up against him. Remember earlier in the thread the episode I mentioned about the missing piece of the plate - that episode was insane!

I don't want to even think about next season. I'm SO pleased with how this season ended. The way they showed Gus coming out of the bombing was sheer brilliance!

Viva La Breaking Bad! :D

Best show on TV, with Mad Men a close 2nd. Going to the AMC website I found out that they aren't renewing Rubicon. That show could have become 3rd best on TV.

Can't wait for next season.

red-beard 10-10-2011 08:49 PM

I'm glad I waited to check out the thread until after I watched my DVR.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Season 5 - RoboGus!

Someone photo shop Gus' face onto Robocop

MotoSook 10-10-2011 09:52 PM

Just watched it....wow! That was better than any Saprano ending. Can't wait for next season. My guess: Walt will try live a quiet life as a car wash owner and Jesse, who still has money, will try the family man life...then they'll get sucked back into it. Mike is going to be the catalyst. Since the original cartel connections are all dead...Mike will play a key roll to bring back the cartel via new characters. Can't wait!

nynor 10-10-2011 10:08 PM

damn!!!

Deschodt 10-11-2011 10:10 AM

Damn indeed... When a show that is "actor driven" finally uses CG, the effect is awesome. Gonna miss Gus, he was a fantastic bad guy ! There's gotta be something in season 5 where Walter tells his brother in law he is Heisenberg... Maybe from a beach in Mexico...

Only thing about the injuries to Gus was that he was facing Hector, so the blast shoulda wiped out the LEFT side of Gus's face and not the right side.

snbush67 10-11-2011 02:55 PM

I think in Season five we are going to find out that the lead guys in the DEA were in with Gus and the Cartel.

Now they (DAE) are going to have to put a new guy on top.

quicksix 10-11-2011 03:31 PM

And that blast probably would not have left that eye socket intact, while plucking out the eye itself

pwd72s 10-11-2011 08:45 PM

Maybe season 5 will have Gus miraculously survive & seek revenge?

Baz 06-17-2012 06:25 PM

FYI:

The pilot of "Breaking Bad" will be on tonight at 11 Eastern and the new season starts July 15th!!! I can't wait....this series is the BEST of all those on AMC.

BTW - Series finale of The Killing is on right now. Rosie's murder is finally solved. I haven't been a big fan of the show but did watch a lot in the first season. It got really boring.

Baz 07-13-2012 05:41 PM

Slodave's Walking Dead post reminded me that Breaking Bad - Season Five begins this Sunday night!!! :D

Definitely looking forward to the start-up of season 5.

red-beard 07-16-2012 04:48 PM

Jesse is not so stupid!

Walt is seriously Breaking Bad!

Wow! An intense start!

Brando 07-16-2012 06:40 PM

When the laptop flew at the truck, I about sh~t myself laughing.

Mythbusters episode?

Baz 07-16-2012 08:49 PM

I'm missing Gus already...something about that guy was cool.

Going to be an interesting season....

Really? I thought that the casting of that actor in that role was the downfall of the show. Him and the DEA bro-in-law character. Luckily, the main guys are good.

I really thought the Gus character was horrible.

I'm surprised you feel that way - however I respect your opinion, of course. I thought Gus Fring brought a real "balance" to the show. He was the baddest MoFo on the entire show!

There was the episode where he killed off the cartel...that was just amazing!
