Windows 7 hardware management Q

Well, I'm stumped

In the past, I use to dual-boot WinXP and Vista on separate drives and, in the hardware manager, set each OS to disable the other drive so it would just ignore it, and not go about defragging, inspecting, or whatever it does to other drives.
I've had that problem before, and it completely borked an operating system.

Win7 doesn't seem to have the option to disable a secondary drive an ignore it. Well... it does, but it's greyed out.
Can I do that?

Why not move your XP install to a VirtualBox machine?

Thinking the same thing. No need for dual boot.

I prefer XP as my main OS. I'm still not liking Win7 much, and the only reason I'll be using it is for memory intensive stuff where XP won't utilize the full amount of RAM.

Curious, what issues do you have with 7?

I use XP, Vista and 7 everyday and prefer the 7 boxes.

+1. Other than an industry specific app, I can't think of a reason to stay with XP.
