I was in Walmart with the g/f recently, picked up a tape measure and measured her height. "What are you doing?" she asked.

Then I went over to the ice chests on display and started measuring them. She didn't think that was funny...

Had the 'discussion' with the roommate last night. It went relatively well as we both got to openly discuss what was going on. LubeMaster was pretty much on the money. She wasn't realizing how her behavior was being interpreted and apologized for that. I assured her, repeatedly, that we are willing to make an effort if she is. If things become a problem we can't just let them pile up until it gets to the point of "someone has to go". She agrees and we are both going to make an effort.

I was surprised at how well it went. WAY different than what I had expected.
I never get tired of hearing that! Glad to help...

This sounds a like a temporary fix. You talked, she freaked and said what she thought you wanted to here.

$1.99 bag of potato chips and naked-man will finish the job.

+1 - If the roommate was hot and walked around the house half-dressed, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
