I didn't drink his kool-aid, but he had about as much impact on the technology world as anyone. He will be deeply missed. RIP

Sad day. I grew up in the Bay Area and well remember the rise of Apple in the early '80s. I remember the first Mac I ever used back in 1984. I went from loving the electric self-correcting typewriter in college to really, really loving the Mac for doing term papers and documents. Farewell Steve Jobs and thanks.
