My interest lies in the NAD equipment and speakers. The NAD will replace my old Yamaha amp. It was sitting in my shed waiting to be thrown out.

This past spring when I started working on my 911 suspension upgrade, I set up the old amp and speakers, hooked up an Apple Airport Express and worked on my car with internet radio. I enjoyed that much more than commercial radio from a little blaster. So my first thought when I saw Dottore's post, was to replace my old stuff with this equipment, but it may be "to good" for the garage. I'm not familiar with the speakers nor do I have any idea as to their size, but they are British made. My brother, who is a recording engineer with the CBC, has always said the British know how to do sound reinforcement (big stadium type shows), and also make good equipment. So I expect the speaker to be of good quality. I'll likely set up the receiver as well.

Heel and Toe, I'm not crazy about shipping anything, especially across the border, but considering your interest in that Beta Max, and given my good fortune at Dottore's generosity, I'll look into how I may do that. The remaining components will go to the Sally Ann as Dottore wants.

I'm meeting Dottore later this morning.

Henri, you'll like the NAD amp - I have exactly the same one. I've had it for years, and it's the main unit powering my music studio. For a consumer-grade piece, it's really nice. Better than some of the pro audio units I've used.

I'm interested in the speakers, so whatever you don't take, please let me know!

I have that same Pioneer receiver running my garage stereo (used to be my whole house audio driver). I still have a set of the multiroom controlsnew in their original boxes.

I met with Dottore this morning and took home the audio equipment. Dottore is a kind and gracious man. I am indebted to him.

Heel and Toe; the Beta Max was given away by Dottore to someone else.

I am sorting through this gear and am determining where it will go. There are essentially two systems. One will go in my living room. The other system will go in either the family room or the garage. My living room has no TV and will stay that way; It's my retreat from the TV in the family room. I may try to integrate one system into the 5.1 surround in the family room; If not, then the garage. There are two CD players and one tape deck which may or may not stay. If I keep any of those items it would be for the sake of nostalgia of that equipment/era.

Thanks again Dottore

I had that same Pioneer amp until 2 years ago. It still worked but the display crapped out. I remember paying around $1200 for it in 1990.
