anyone watch Speeds coverage of Bathurst 1000 ?

Australian V8 race was great to watch. If you missed it you missed some great racing. After almost 6 1/2 hours of racing it was down to two cars that were only a car apart in distance. Fantastic stuff.

Knowing the Aussies as great showmen....they had a little hand in the close finish. Saw it...was exciting.

Saw the finish as I turned on the Japan GP a little early. Was a good one....

Watched it since 1977.
Its a great track up and down the mountain.
They have a 12 hour race for sports cars also.

Exciting track, lots of horsepower, hmm, heck yeah.

I didn't get to watch, but I've watched past races there, pretty awesome.

You want to talk about a close finish, I was in a 12 hour kart race with a lead change on the last lap about four corners before the finish line.

Yup, saw the end before the F1 coverage - looked like a great race and a cool track.

We love the track down here. It's not open for use all year as it is a public road but Porsche Club of NSW is running a series of regularity races there as part of a bigger meet at Bathurst next Easter.

The V8's are exciting on TV with all the in car camera's etc. It's even better live at the track as the cars are so much faster than they appear on TV.
