In 2001, Mark and Bob Mothersbaugh and Robert Casale formed a surf band called The Wipeouters. They recorded an album called p'twaaang.
In 1982, Neil Young codirected a film called "Human Highway". Devo is playing "Hey Hey,My My" with Neil playing lead guitar and Booji Boy singing the lead vocals. You can find the clip on you tube. I don't know how to put video here. Maybe someone here can put it up.

Allegedly, Jagger said Devo's cover of Satisfaction was the best.

Been a big fan forever.

I was in the front row for this:

I think if someone like Green Day would cover their songs today people would love it. They were a little off the beaten path back in the day.

I haven't seen the whole movie, but wasn't it where "It Takes a Worried Man" came from as well? I thought it was a Neil Young production.

Wow just seeing this thread now. I still listen to Devo now on my ipod etc. I am almost 50 and i was into all the new wave and punk bands at the time. I've never forgave my parents for not letting go see them in Boston when i was in thr 8th grade with a bunch of buddies. I never asked for.permission again. The funny thing is i heard my 15yr old singing Uncontrollable Urge walking around the house the other day(must be osmosis) put a smile on my face...

Mark Mothersbaugh did the music for The Lego Movie, so I suppose you can thank/blame him for "Everything is Awesome".

Mark has done quite a bit of movie and commercial work over the years that you probable have heard but didn't know it was him.

Back in the late 70's while in college a group of friends and I (all early Devo fans) won a Halloween "best group costume" award at a big holiday concert/party by dressing up as Devo using yellow rain suits and stockings over our heads, and doing some synchronized movements (which we worked out about 3 minutes before getting up on stage) while our buds in the band did an appropriate beat. So they are wrong when they say my college years were a complete waste...
