Yes, too small! Looks like it is 1000 yards away ... and, at that range (and your Avatar appearance) ... you can't differentiate between a 356 and 911 in profile.

Jasper (you cement-head), stick to chemistry as it pertains to limestone etc.

Mine's an animated gif. I think it moves on all computers. Be careful of the size, though. I think mine slows down people's browsers.

avatar help
Why...I oughta.!!! POW! right to the moon.
Alls I means to say is that this is a 15KB GIF image called car_anm.gif that spins when I open it in my microlimp browser. First off, the cp settings window tells me it's too big, although it suggests that 20 KB is the limit. Then after I resze the image to like 2 KB, it downloads ok, but doesn't spin. Now, I'm no techno-geek or anything, but I thought these beige boxes under our desks were supposed to make life LESS stressful. ![]()

OK....I've calmed down now and done some troubleshooting. Seems when I re-size the image in photoshop, it doesn't spin anymore.
Does anyone have a suggestion of how to re-size my 80x29 pixel anm.gif so that it will work on this BBS? ![]()

Jasper...the spinning car deal is old hat, almost everyone has one as their avatar. How about something more original...like a fired-up Calciner???

jasper,
Yeah, that myth has been around since room-sized computers were called 'Giant Brains' by Hollywood and the media! Sure didn't reduce the stress on CBS News executives on election night 1952! What Edward R. Murrow said then in an apology to the public about delaying the prediction of a landslide victory for Ike more than four hours ... "The trouble with computers [pause] ... is PEOPLE!" Still applicable today ... with Lil' Billy still repeating and perpetuating the myth!

Jasper,
When you resize in Photoshop you are loosing all of the frames except the first one. I don't think photoshop can easily alter animated gifs without loosing the animation. What will do the job is Jasc Animation Shop . They are the same people who make Paint Shop Pro. Animation Shop will properly resize an animated gif. If you don't want to go through the trouble of downloading and installing the program let me know, send me your gif, and I will do it for you.

Go Here and get IrfanView. It's a FREE graphics program that most people consider the best Freeware program on the net. It will allow you to Resize\Resample any graphic with just a couple of clicks. One of those must have things. Good luck.
