And now with pics
. So the first pic under the window is where I started installing interior panels . That is 3 panels in the pic . The next 3 pics are what the stripped interior wall structure looks like . Pretty amazing they used spray foam insulation back in 1968 . I have used Great Stuff cans of foam to touch up some areas . I will keep pecking away at it for the rest of this year and see how it goes . ![]() ![]() ![]()

Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

I actually saw one of these in person driving the roads of Placerville last week. Looked original and much heftier in person that through pictures. Looks well built. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^^^ Yes there are some survivors out there . I was starting to reassemble mine but then I found that the cabover sleeping area the plywood was rotted . So I have torn that all out and going to rebuild with aluminum .
But I am now onto other home projects for the winter and will resume on the camper in the spring . |

Well guys I am waving the white flag on this project
. I just can't seem to find time or motivation to finish it . She's a blank canvas to finish any way you want . I have all the original interior if one chooses to go original . I have two refrigerators and a replacement roof AC all included . The Stable Lift lifting system is included . It is currently installed at dually width but could be installed narrower for single rear wheel pickup . A 3/4 ton truck is needed as a minimum with an 8 ' bed . This is the first project I have started but didn't complete . I have a roll of Pex tubing along with fittings to replumb . Structurally it is very sound , just the overhead sleeping area needs completion . No broken glass all windows function . If a Pelican or friend of Pelican is interested $2500.00 buys it . Not many 1968 Avion truck campers have survived , it is a piece of history . If you are interested and have questions send me a PM and we can chat . I just made this decision this morning and thought I would offer it up here first . Eventually I will go the FB marketplace route if needed . Thanks for listening

Identify that in all future advertisements. And weight. And vehicle specs with website links. Red carpet treatment. A quick n dirty means to separate and store it on blocks...would be the next question for any potential buyer. Quote:
Gas is still cheap. Housing is overpriced. I would buy that in a heartbeat if the F150 could carry it. Good way to see the country through campsites. Quote:

I have priced it low for Pelicans only . If I advertise it I will probably ask 5k. My wife and I have purchased a 5th wheel camper so that is our mode of travel lodging . Hopefully someone has the vision and passion to complete the project .

Sometimes it's for the best. You got a good start on it. Hopefully someone will appreciate that.
