How strong are Chevy LSx engines?
This is pretty impressive. Imagine the results on a Bullitt engine!

Long may the Chevy/Ford/Mopar wars continue...they keep HOT ROD in business...
FYI, stock 4.6 modular Fords run 7-8 pounds of blower boost all the time.... But...one thing leads to another...as also happens with P-cars http://www.imboc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=197453

Hmm, 1000hp SBC in a miata.... hahaha
I don't have a death wish. I would be willing to settle for 300-400hp though. ![]()

Horsepower is realtively easy these days. Getting it to hook up & not break other components is the problem...
I'm content with a stock 315 horsepower and a well balanced car. It's all a compromise thing, but these days I prefer adequate power and good handling, all in a comfortable package. A car that I can drive 500 miles & still feel good when I arrive at my destination. Guess that's a definition of a GT car?

just finished the article, impressive for a small truck engine with minimal mods on stock internals.

Over the years I've turbocharged a 1600 cc bug, a 2 liter type 4 in a 914, a 3 liter SC motor, and supercharged an old chrysler hemi.
Nothing feels better than boost. |

Yeah, your truck needs 1200 HP for hole-shots pulling the boat/trailer.
