How much time do you spend?

Hey
Just wondering how much time you spend during work hours on this site. After hour time is cool too. I speng 1-3 hours a day here during work hours, but I work or at least get paid for 24/7. On average I'm here 15-20 hours a week, but I'm isolated, so the story goes, how about you - how many hours/week do you check in? The random pic site has taken a lot of company time.

I was thinking of posting the same question. I notice during work hours there are from 250+ to 450+ people on the 911 tech forum & here. I'm retired and I mostly only have time to be on here in the evenings. Seems like lots of people can get work done in addition to spending lots of hours here daily. More power to them, but I never had a job that allowed me to take that much time out.

I try to limit it to lunch-hour, but with our new product failing intermittently I've had a bit more time to post/banter/b*tch on here.

I have no idea, hard to add up all the here and there on my phone, plus my laptop... I'd suspect my number is one of the highest though....

Shall we compare posts/day?

I usually have a browser window open with a tab for pelican and 2-3 other sites. I do some work for 15-20 minutes, take a minute or two to read a post or two, then do some more work. This is pretty much how my day goes for 9-10 hours a day. I seldom go out for lunch (just eat something at my desk while I continue to work) and don't generally take "breaks" per se... So I figure it evens out. As long as my stuff gets done (and it does) my boss doesn't really care what I do or even whether I'm in the office at all. I read/post a lot in the mornings and evenings especially if I'm riding the trains with nothing better to do. Days when busy? Not much activity. Average days? Probably an hour/hour-and-a-half a day reading and posting on this and other sites. It keeps me sane and breaks up the day. Some people use coffee breaks, some people use water cooler chit-chat or structured lunchtime trips/events. I don't - I just prefer a measured pace with occasional mental purges that sites like his one afford.

I'm retired so it doesn't make any diference but my wife does mention my time on PP as being excessive on occasion.

You can always try: "But honey! I donīt even have 8000 posts! Look at some of these other guys post count!"

I doubt it will work though..

I've only had internet at the shop for a few months so it's still something of a novelity. 10 minutes is about tops.

If she knew I was approaching 8000 she'd probably have me committed!

No posting but I will occasionally look in to check a subscribed thread when I'm in the office.

In a rig, I can't per company policy.
