I flew (passenger) with the Red Baron stunt team about 15 years ago. They basically showed me what every stunt was like. It was one of the most unforgettable exsperiences I have ever had.

Yes I have twice, first time in a Steerman (sp) second time in a CH53 I ***** you not.
Do not ever tell a Marine Pilot that he cannot do something, you all may die doing it (well so be it) he will try, and he did. I am here to tell 38 years later. U.S.N USS IWO JIMA LPH2 PH2 D.A.Norris PS. Someone said you could not clime to 10.000 ft with a CH53 guess what, and it took damn near all day, got to love them Marines..... |

Many, many times. Done correctly, that is my absolute favorite maneuver. Cgarr described it best. Done one in your Aeronca Joe?

Oh yeah.....!
My first instructor had a Stearman (Boeing) Model 75 - originally an N2S I think. With just a few hours in my logbook he decided "to show me a few things". Good think I didn't eat lunch that day. I have never again been so frightened and thrilled at the same time. An open cockpit gives it a VERY different feeling. |
