Class action suit on that GPU, for not just Apple, HP and Dell as well. Dell also replaces the GPU/mobo free of charge on this particular issue, so does HP.
http://nvidiasettlement.com/pdfs/NVF_NOT.pdf Problem is they tend to go out again after replacement. (the laptop I'm typing on currently was part of the class.)
