David just sent me a text. He'll be getting discharged today and he walked some and pinched a few nurses. It's his wife MJ's birthday today, so getting him home would be pretty cool for both of them! David said he had little, if any pain today, which is quite an improvement over yesterday.

Great news for David and his family!

Thanks for the update Art! There's a reason I've been checking in on PPOT a lot more in recent days...now I can go on about my business with "peace of mind" :)

Yep, he's coming home today, just sent me the message. He's very happy! I bet we'll hear from him on the forum some time this afternoon.

Fortunate guy, hope he gets sprung and home for the party. Plenty of reasons to celebrate.

David,

I hope you are sitting in the comfort of your own home when you read this. I suspect you feel slightly dazed at all that has transpired in the past week.
You have 'dodged the bullet' my friend, and we're glad you did.

Welcome home.

Best
Les

Welcome Home, David!

Tim Hancock 11-30-2011 04:07 PM

If he is anything like me, I bet within 15 minutes of getting home from the hospital, he is spending some quality time in his shop rather than resting on the couch licking his wounds. ;):)

911Freak 11-30-2011 04:13 PM

Wow, just wow!

Kudos to all involved, best outcome expected I suppose.

David, may you heal quickly, then take a moment to reflect and make the adjustments in your life needed so this never happens again, that is, not if you have anything to say or do about it.

Rest well and enjoy the rest of your life!

And a big 'atta boy' to all the Pelicans who did what ever they had to do to get David to get his butt off this BBS and get to a proper MD! Way to go!
Maybe Santa will include something special for you guys in the PPOT Christmas exchange this year?!

Well done all around!

Cheers
Jason

Pretty sweet birthday gift for the wife, living spouse that is walking around talking, excellent.

One thing, if the plumbing in your melon is bad, it is probably bad somewhere else, get thee to a cardiologist.

Oh, and if you must go out to the shop, take your cell phone out there with you in your pocket.

Wow, great news!
