Thank you for the update Mrs. David. I hope he has a full recovery real soon. This was scary.

syncroid 11-24-2011 07:42 AM

As others have already said, Thank you for the update Mrs. D.

Wow. I am late to hear this news. David just finished my little .410 and I am gutted to hear this. I sincerely hope for the best, and know that David has a lot of friends pulling for him.

My son and I just lit the "our favorite gunsmith" vigil candle for David!

Thankful that you're getting proper care. Stroke symptoms? Go to the ER. It's that simple.

gassy 11-24-2011 08:19 AM

Glad you went Dave--

Good Luck Dave

My Junior College sweet heart had one. A wonderful lady. Smart, fit, a Vet, happily married. It was one of those things, right out of the blue; she woke up one morning. It happened while she was asleep.

I feel so bad as it took away her hand coordination required to be the skilled veterinary surgeon she had become. That is another whole story. It confused the heck out of her. It seemed to upset what was otherwise a happy marriage. It took a couple of years for her to emotionally calm down (and she is a pretty calm person). The good news is she does not call me as much as she once did AND her husband and her seem to be MUCH better. She modified her career. It was tough to see her go through that, but She seems to be returning to herself.

GOOD LUCK DAVID AND FAMILY we are pulling for ya.

Here's hoping his docs find out the cause and David is back to normal in no time.

Couldn't agree more. Actually, he is kind of charming when he is pissed!;)

Here is another wish for David's speedy and complete recovery!!!
Why is it that so many of us guys just try to ride it out for a few days to see how things go? I promise to follow Davids good example and get checked out if this sort of symptoms come my way.

Hoping for the best of news for Mrs David and family for thanksgiving day.

Cheers Richard

masraum 11-24-2011 10:35 AM

I'm glad he went. Much better to have a huge inconvenience for a day or two than a reduced quality of life for the rest of it.

Very glad he went!

Hugh R 11-24-2011 10:37 AM

Sucks going to the hospital; the alternative probably sucks more. Get well David and keep amazing us with your talents!

vash 11-24-2011 10:45 AM

get well david.

Just clicked on this thread, hope all is well. My Dad had a stroke when he was about 60, (not a mini one), he got to the hospital quickly and made a full recovery. Very lucky. His dad, my GF, died from the complications of a stroke when he was 58. They run in my family but environmental factors were heavily at play as well. (Smoking/drinking/eating steak).

craigster59 11-24-2011 11:46 AM

Get well David! The Docs will probably tell you a lot of things you don't want to hear, like "Quit smoking, change your diet, more exercise, etc.) but they know best and will have you on the road to recovery and good health. Take care, prayers sent.

Don't mean to pry, just thinking of Dave and you.
