				Acura styling....dear lord.....

I believe 'clearly lost' pretty much covers it, yes? Follow the line under the headlamps to the flares around the front wheel. It literally looks unfinished. Like a rough sketch ended up going directly into production. And that nose......it Bangle butt ugly. Did the Aztek team get hired to consult on this gig?

I dunno, it sure is ugly, as are most Acuras with that shiny front grill. But Bangle's early stuff was just as bad if not worse...... Cheers

Yeah, it's ugly, but it's hard to get worked up at all either way over a 4 door appliance.

Acura, among many Japanese cars, seemed to have been designed by people who have watched "Transformers" way too many times. While drinking.

It has long occurred to me that the Japanese have a different artistic conception of the world than I have...

I suppose that is why I drive a 31 yr old german sports car? Most new cars are ugly and uninspiring. A co-worker just bought a Hundai and is all excited about it. Appliance. Big deal. Larry | ||

Agreed. Too much government regulation and too much incestual merging/combining in the auto industry have made design pretty homogenous and boring these days. I could probably name two dozen cars that fundamentally all look the same with only minor styling variations and which come overwhelmingly in one of four or five shades of "practical show-no-dirt gray/metallic". Blah. Like the man said, appliances. They're intended to be discarded after four or five years in order to keep people hooked on payments in perpetuity. Get a good, soulful, fun, enjoyable and distinctive car, drive it for 20 years sans payments. Repeat as necessary every 15-20 years. Works for me. I really like not making payments to banks. I mean I really, REALLY, R-E-A-L-L-Y like not making payments to banks, especially for something that would bore the crap out of me after about 37 seconds.

They are horrible designs. One of the reasons we stopped buying them. We used to own a Legend 4-door and an Inyegra 4-door, but this was back with they had softer, rounded lines. Mechanically they were superb cars.

They are fixated to make their vehicles look like Transformers. I shyed away from a MDX and went for an Audi instead.

The more I look at that acura, the more it looks like they borrowed the design from cadillac.

Good point, Sammy! Front end mimics Caddy. As far as an earlier post goes...car payments? What are those? I made one payment for the Bullitt Mustang.
