I found the Maxell Targa poster!

After searching and hunting for a long time, the Maxell poster of the Targa getting its top blown off had come up on e-bay. Owner claims its the oringinal 80's version, brand new rolled in a poster tube. Good news I did win the bid and expect delivery in a few days. I will post a pic of what actually shows up. But I figured for $42.00 dollars, what the hey.

Good golly! I remember giving dozens of those away day after day when working at an audio shop in the late 70's

With the new digital cams you could take a good pic, blow it up and keep the original pristine....

Brilliant advertising, I bought many XL II S cassettes! The other one where the guy is sitting in a Le Corbusier chair is my favorite. The TV version of it where the glass is slowly pushed back to the edge of the table was fantastic. Needless to say, I have a Porsche, and a Le Corbusier chair... damn I didn't realize I was such a sucker for advertising. | ||

I've got the same one hanging in my den. It was a gift from an ex-girlfriend back in the late 1980's... ... where does the time go?!?

I think the speakers in the pic are JBL L100s. Had a pair for YEARS, made it through DOZENS of college parties in the late 70's early 80's and never missed a beat. Still regret selling them.

I had a set of those JBL L100's as well. Good loudspeaker. I have been wanting that targa poster since I was a kid. Specifically the one with the writing. "IF YOU'VE GOT THE WATTS, WE'VE GOT THE TAPE"

Yeah. I got that one from back in the day too. I love the Times-Picayune front pages. Shawn
