Yeah a weird system but consider, for a surgeon, say 2k for lap chole..... For a 15 min case and one short follow up. or a 3 hr surgery, rounds for a week postop including weekends, 6 months of follow up, middle of the night phone calls, also 2k.

If we had liability limits in place for bona fide, licensed and practicing medical professionals the cost would be about 1/3 of that - if that.

Just got the insurance coverage and my cost/co payment for the surgery center and Ortho Surgeon.
Room: 2,170 Doc: 1,240 Question, why do they send out those other numbers in the first place?
