I'm surprised you have trouble getting comfortable in the Mazda5, Aaron. I'd think it would be okay with the seat jacked all the way down. I'm 6' and have my seat up a couple of pumps from the bottom setting.

I still find this video amusing:

Two of my brothers' wives drive them. I think they are a great car for the $$!

i Stopped by the stealership in Long Beach today between meetings. It's an interesting 'Van' for my size the driver's seat was pretty comfy but the passenger's seat I wasn't sure about it.

The second row seating was typical small car, back seat tight. I felt it was tighter than the prius I have now. The way back seats were even tighter. Still, for $25k loaded it's a decent looking car. I didn't test drive it or anything. I just wanted to see the interior before I considered bringing the wife to look at it. We're going to go gander at it together tomorrow morning.

One thing I did notice was that place was a fricken ghost town - maybe it was the time of day but I was the only customer on the lot and there was almost nobody there to talk to me about the car.

Took the wife over to the Mazda dealership and she does like the car - she drove it, sat in every seat, etc.

I'm going to have to do a little research on trying to special order one with the MT but all the other goodies.

Be sure you can comfortably sit in the seats, I hate driving my wife's car. The seats are the most uncomfortable I've ever sat in... I have a MazdaSpeed3 and the seats in my car are great, I don't know what happened to the seats in the Mazda5...

I just drove my 2006 Mazda5 11 hours from Phoenix to Amarillo, TX then back a few days later. While I definitely prefer the seats in my wife's 2011 Mazda3S, I don't have any complaints with the 5's seats. Neither did my wife riding shotgun. What about them doesn't work for you?

Lee,
I just find my wife's 2009 Mazda5 seats to be the most uncomfortable, cheap-looking and feeling seats I've ever sat in... After 10 minutes, my back aches... We drove it to Nashville and back (Detroit area) and I almost died...
