Adoption of an orangutan.
Her name is Meki.
She was rescued from illegal captivity.
She now lives in central Kalimantan, for rehab before being released back into a safe area. I will pay for the rehab cost for the next few years as she is a baby.
Great gift.

So far, a reasonably healthy Family, and a few days off to spend with them. It's really all I want.

I sprung the $$ for a new paint job on the 911. Friend did the bodywork and he and I shot the car. After driving it for several years in grey primer/grey it really looks nice again! That was my real Christmas present from myself.

We got a new dog a couple weeks ago from a rescue. Not techincally a Christmas gift, but still. The dog's presnt was a loving home. I'm sure there will be other nice stuff. I picked some of myself..can't resist the uber tool sales ar Lowe's....scored a 1/4" drive set for 9.99 and a 3/8" set for like 24.99. I had my wife wrap it up and set it under the tree.

The best gift was a 1928 telegram from Marconi to my Grandfather, after he put Australia on the air...

A new house. I wrote Santa a check for $84k as the down payment. I hear he got a new set of rims for his sleigh with that...
