Who's had the flu this season?

Got my dose Tues night after working on a car in a cold industrial building. I think it was coming on anyway. Been down ever since telling the guy each day I'll get over there. Couldn't even move this morning.

I've had worse.

I am getting to the tail end of it now. I had it about 1 1/2 month ago. But that cough is a b&*ch. I still have it and it would not go away. Some days are better then others. Take care if it and get some rest. I finally went to the doc and ask for antibiotics for my cough a few days ago. I am not sure if it'll work.

I spent Monday running chainsaws and wrestling with a big 'ole tree that didn't fall to the ground when my dad and I dropped it...I was down to a tee-shirt, and soaking wet. Felt it coming on that night, but I've fought it off all week and have now declared victory ! Hope you feel better Milt...

That's a tough ass tree.

Yeah, Jeff, the cough is the worst part. I think I hocked up my liver last night.

Had the flu shot back in Sept, been feeling good. Be sure to keep washing hands (especially before eating....menus in restaurants are a huge source of infection!), use the alcohol disinfectants, avoid those obviously infectious (kids, another source of infection).

Stay healthy!

Well, lessee here, grandkids over on Sunday, sick by Wed. I don't think I remember a day when one of the 3 wasn't hacking. In fact the 3 YO got to sit at the "big" table this year and promptly sneezed all over the cranberry. I pretty much avoided those little sickies all year but let my guard down Sunday.

I got one a couple weeks before Christmas. Didn't realize it at the time and had a get together with Snobush a Pelican from Oahu, and was a bit off then but really went down the next day. Shane is a cool guy, hope to connect with him again when I'm in better form.

Cheers Richard

Zeke-I read some few years ago that vitamin D prevents flu and colds. I take 10000IU's of D3 every day and have had no flu and only rarely a mild cold since I started. Made a believer of me.

If they are dark in color, its time to get some antibiotic from your doc. I was hoping it would go away on its own. After almost three weeks of sleepless nights with my lung at my throat, I broke down and called my doc. Good thing is, I didn't even have to go see him. He knew exactly what to get me and called it in at my local CVS. Its been about 5 days now. My coughing has been reduced 50%. My little ones bring it home from school also. GEt some rest and feel better soon.

I was kidding about the the liver.

Feeling good enough to go to the clinic today. That seems funny, huh?

Well, I know antibiotics are not appropriate for viruses, but I can get some cough syrup with codeine to sleep.

Ha ha .. Like clockwork with me, too. In fact, I'm batting about .750 whenever I spend time with the kids. Very effective little carriers.

I wasn't kidding. That cough kicks my azz. Is not something I can control. When it comes, I had to brace myself for it. If you are spitting out black crap from your lungs, you have some type of a bug in your system. Antibiotics will take care of it, according t omy doc. Alll my family members had been antibiotic this year. This one is nasty. Glad you are feeling better.
