What a testament to the rigidity of these vehicles. Anything else would have crumpled like a soda can. Take a look at Hyundais, Toyotas and Hondas that withstand similar occurrences. Also check the drivers. I've lived through 2 serious impacts in Porsches and walked away both times.

The driver of that car was dang lucky. Most of the time when a vehicle roof is pushed that far into the passenger compartment the occupants head gets squished like a grape.

The airbags didn't go off because it was essentially a side impact.

The way the roof was crashed in, how was there no head trauma? Only way was to duck down on roll. I guess a rollbar isn't a bad idea. Tim
