Like the above poster said... "put the cards on the table".
Your potential employer should understand if you have scheduled plans.
It is not a big deal to them and shouldn't effect you being offered the position of employment.
Congrats on tying the knot.

Of course getting married is something that is perfectly acceptable, it isn't that you just don't want to miss spring break with you college buddies. You will want to tell them that you do not care how you get the time off, time unpaid, vacation into the negative, you will work with them, whatever is easiest.

Good Luck and Congrats on both the job and wedding!

This is what I did. I was laid off unexpectedly (with about 300 others) a couple of years ago. Already had a big vacation trip planned. I waited until I had an offer in writing. During negotiations I told them at the begining I needed a certain week off and I knew I wouldn't have any time acrued. I offered up front to take the week without pay. The company eventually allowed me the week with pay.

I would think the outcome could be different depending on type and level of job. Entry level vs. Management or Executive. Production vs. Supervisory. In my case I am management and ended up working some via BB so I didn't really 'get away' for a week.

I'd go ahead and tell them next time you talk to them. I've changed jobs a few times and said "hey, I've got X planned for next month or this summer or whatever" in the interview or when they said I had the job. It shouldn't be a problem. Most folks understand that we all have lives. Most bosses that I've had are willing to work with you even if the HR dept doesn't accrue vaca fast enough. The only time it would be a problem is if you were going to work at a restaurant as a waiter or a fast food place or someplace like that.

How much vacation do you have at your current job. I have never taken a new job if I couldn't negotiate the same or more amount of vacation.
