Khar spoon

Anyone have a PM9 and want to make comments? I've decided to upgrade my tiny carry piece to 9mm. I opted for a few $$ more and picked up the stainless slide, along with going with the PM9 instead of the CW9. Hopefully will be here in a couple of days.

I was seriously looking at the Sig P290, but the slide on that thing looks big enough to handle 45ACP! Do they only have tooling for that width? All of the Sigs seem this way to me.

Since I found out that Jason Moon (yes, his father is Rev. Moon of the Moonies) owns the company, I can't bring myself to consider one of them. I worked on a friend's CW9 and I was not impressed with the build quality and the difficulty in taking it down. I'm a Sig guy and I strongly recommend them, but I would also look at the LC9, the LCP's big brother...

Khar makes a great spoon and you should be very happy with it. Their .45 is also an excellent choice for a carry spoon!!

I'll second the Ruger LC9. Mom just bought one and I've put a number of rounds through it. Pretty straightforward. I find it picks up more goop requiring more thourough cleaning than my Sig, but it spoons great!

The Moon family is SERIOUSLY bad juju but I have to admit I love my MK9. It's slim, light, accurate, reliable, and easy to shoot.

Probably won't buy another, though, unless it is used. The Moons creep me out and I prefer not to fund their shenanigans.

If you dislike the Moons, keep in mind you also have to avoid Auto-Ordnance and Magnum Research.

Yep, the Moonies have bought a few gun companies. Kind of makes me wonder...

Really?

The LC9 is about 25% bigger (10% longer slide and 12% longer grip), width is the same.

The PM9 is only 0.2" longer than my P3AT, and 0.5" longer grip. Width about 0.1" wider. It is closer to the size of the LCP than the LC9.

Kahr's are made in Mass....great customer service. I have a PM40 and have been pleased. Compact and rugged. Works well with a Galco Ankle Glove. For the price they are very competitive.

I was looking at the size of the PM40. It is only slightly bigger than the PM9!

Great charts! Looks like I should reconsider the Sig and also look at the Kimber.

I have a Kahr K9. It is a great little carry spoon. The quality is very good. I use it for pocket carrying. Because there is no physical safety (like a Glock) I do not keep one in the pipe when I do that.

Well, based on the chart, I bought the Sig too. I'll keep the one I like and GB the one I don't.

I really wanted to like the SIG but the trigger killed it for me. Way too heavy and rough. The Kahr trigger, on the other hand, is in a class by itself (for factory DA-only triggers, that is).

What I REALLY want is a blowback 9mm designed to look and feel exactly like the Colt 1903. Basically take the 1903 in 380 and upgrade it to 9mm. And I don't care about the weight. I just want the slide the same width and the size about the same.

Someone? Anyone?

Don't think you can do it w/ blow back.. 9mm is much more pressure, so much more weight needed.

I just ordered two new nines.
Browning P35 and Colt 9mm Defender.
I can wait to start working on both of them.
