Gal flicked a cig on my 911
So, it was semi-raining out, I was walking up to my car with my son (who is in a major leg cast right now, so it takes some time to get him in the car with the crutches and all). As I was helping him get in, I noticed two girls (prolly mid 20s) smoking in the car next to my drivers door. I LITERALLY watched the gal in the passenger side flick her cigarette butt out her window and on to the side of my wet car (my '86 911). She looked at it, then shrugged, and didn't do anything about it. I don't think she saw me on the other side of the car helping my Son get his leg in the car.
So... I walked to the other side, picked the cig off the side of my car, and flicked it at her (her window was down). Didn't hit her in the face, just somewhere back inside their car. She yelled "I said I'm sorry!" I said, "If you really were you would have picked the cig off my car you (female dog). Apology not accepted. And, besides, who are you to think flicking a cig out the window is in any way cool?" She flipped me off, called me a few names, and I drove away, end of story. Look, if you want to smoke, fine. Kill yourself slowly and show the world how unattractive you are. It's your own life and I actually support your decision. However, being disrespectful is B.S. Maybe I'm just getting old!!! Had to vent. |

Had a cop flick a butt on my car once after he ran a stop sign. I wrote a letter to the chief, but never got a reply.

The better response would have been to report her for littering. With a witness and evidence such as you had, they would have pretty much had to write the ticket. I think that would have cost her 500 bucks.

My father did something similar. He HATES smoking. We were getting in our car and this guy next to us opens his door and dumps his heaping ashtray in the parking lot. My Dad goes over and using his bare hands scoops as much of the mess as possible and tosses it back into the car -drivers side open window in the guys face and lap. LOL. The guy was speechless and my Dad departed with a "Have a nice day".

Smoking is an ignorant habit so why are you surprised that a smoker displays ignorant behavior?
As a motorcyclist, I hate HATE when idiots throw thier still-lit cigarettes our of their windows since the chances of them ending up in my helmet, in my gear, or trapped under my gas tank are high. Do they even look before they toss? Smoke if you want, but keep your burning trash inside of your vehicle. The world is not your f'n ashtray.

![]() As far as the cigarette and the seperate spitting thing goes... The spitting is absolutely disgusting, but I would rather be spit on that have a cigarette flicked on or even at me. Yes, I've been spit on before, so I do have that perspective. I am really sideways about the cigarette thing. We're talking full-moon PMS sideways about it. We all have our buttons, that is one of mine. The spit - a few choice words to convey my disgust, then move along, nothing of interest to see here. The cigarette earns me chasing you, screaming in rage, and chock full of vile intent. ![]() angela

Things happen
When I was a kid, a guy spit his chaw out the window of his truck, with most of it hitting my left hand! Yucch! I calmly reached over and wiped my hand off on the fender of his (white) truck, shot him a "look" and went on about my business. When I wiped the mess on the fender, he started to say something like "get away from my truck" but realized about then what he had done and cut off in mid sentence. Haven't liked tobacco or tobacco users since.

I saw a guy dump his ashtray out in the mall parking lot a few years ago. I quietly told him he could be fined for littering if he didn't pick it up. He looked at me with that familiar "FU" look. I jotted down his plate # and left. I didn't call but I wonder if he picked it up.
Can you even get a vehicle with an ashtray anymore? Angela-I love the term "full-moon PMS".

Cigarette smokers don't usually seem to be very considerate of others, I have noticed this and I could be wrong.... but I don't think so.
