30 Seconds to Waste? S'plain this one to me...

1. Stare at the red dot on the girl’s nose for 30 seconds
2. Turn your eyes towards the wall/roof or somewhere else on a plain surface
3. Keep blinking your eyes quickly!
4. What can you see?

So, it programs the rods and cones on the retina from just the dots. Cool experiment and observation.

Wow!! If I put a red dot on The Viking's nose and stared at it, would she start to look like that?

On a related topic:
When I close my eyes, normally I see blackness, but when I'm in the shower in the morning and I close my eyes I see a roundish white spot that fills about 20% of the blackness. Anyone else experience that?

Gives you a point to stare at, nothing more.

Typically you would see the opposite color wise. In this case you get a full color version from a black and white. The dots have to mean something.

I studied eye sight for a project a 100 years ago. The eyes can't see shape, only color. All shapes are seen by the shadows present. Light something perfectly from all angles and it will appear 2 dimensional.

This has nothing to do with parallax.

Invert the image in a photo editor, this is not a black and white.

Correct.
I've seen this before, here's a whole bunch to try most without the colour dots:
afterimage - Google Search

Umm, I just see a blinky ceiling. Am I meant to see her naked or something?

Its not black and white. Definitely basic afterimage stuff. Plenty of examples. Seriously the dots don't mean anything from what I can tell....

Interesting.

As an experiment, I scrolled down until the colored dots were out of view.
It no longer works for me.

With the dots in view i get the full color after image in just a few seconds, not the full 30.

If you invert the image in PS and do the same trick, you see the image from the OP.

How do I explain to my wife why I want to put a red dot on her nose?

Me too. I thought there might be some correlation to the dots being the primary colors of light, and that they're tricking me into seeing the afterimage in full color for a moment.
