Flooring for my trailer

I've been doing some work on my 24' enclosed trailer - mainly just adding some lighting, receptacles, insulation, paint, etc.

I'm starting the realize the oil stained raw wood floor (and ramp) is going to stick out.

I've been considering painting the floor/ramp, covering with tile or roll of garage mat Like this.

Don't want to spend a ton of money, but would like to do something.

I don't like the raised snap-in tile.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks,
Skip

The black and white checkerboard linoleum looks pretty nice and will last a couple years. I bought my trailer with aluminum diamond plate and it's pretty pimpin. had to put non slip paint on the ramp because i nearly busted my butt on damp mornings.

I did the 1'x1' stick on tiles. First trip out race gas spilled on it and lifted 6-8 tiles.

I removed them all and mixed up 2-part epoxy floor coating and painted it! It will suck up 2x the amount that a concrete floor will but it reall works well.

You'll need to add in the antislip sand and chips or else the drop gate is slick as ( PARF)

I did my trailer with commercial grade indoor/outdoor carpet in charcoal gray. It ran about a buck a square foot. Glued it down and loved it. Never slipped, easy to clean. When the car was in the trailer I taped a square piece of cardboard under the engine to catch any drips.....but my car didn't leak!
Sorry I didn't take pics before I sold it.

At one time I was considering indoor/outdoor carpet. I wrote it off thinking it was another of my foolish ideas. Very interesting that you liked it. I think I might like the idea of carpet the best.

Think gluing down would be required? Seems like that might be a problem if the carpet had to come out???

Thanks all...

I used truck-bed liner on mine. Looks good, very durable and I just cleaned the floor prior with some simple green and scrubbing/rinsing. I bought some thin aluminum diamond plate to go under where the car tires park to prevent pull-up.

Chris- That looks sharp.
Did it go over a plywood floor?
Did the simply green lift the oil from the plywood?

Thanks,

It wasn't really a permanent type glue. It stayed tacky if you needed to reposition it...pull it up and re-lay it. Can't remember the brand right now.
I actually did my garage with in/out carpet.....

Skip,

Yes, but I had a basic paint sealant on the floor prior so there wasn't quite as much soaked in. ...but bear in mind this was 5 years worth of post-race drips and spills on the floor. So I did a few rounds of the simple green, scrubbed, light pressure wash, and few days of fans to really dry it out. After 1 year of use no sign of it coming up.

I used Rhino-Liner but it's actually a little TOO textured for my tastes. Something slighly less rough would have been my preference.
