Sorry...not buying it. EVERY web page on the net says Solid Guitar. If Gibson says is it stands for solid guitar ..it's solid guitar.

Stupid Guitar. thats how i feel about my SG most of the time. Les liked guitars that stayed in tune while your playing them i think

i had one of those 20 years ago. it was kind of a flexy POS, so it was the designated shop guitar. had a nice welding wire loop on the headstock to hang on a nail on the wall. the neighbors would complain occasionally, so i guess they didn't like it either.

SG requires a very gentle left hand, a new bone nut and locking tuners and even then, its a difficult instrument to get along with on a stage

but there is something about them i love...the way you feel them vibrate in your rib cage, the light weight, and the fret board

That's Bonhams bass drum but yeah, at first glance looks weird.

seriously your rare. ive had problems from day one. im not the only one. they sometimes need a tone pro locking bridge and stop piece too. anything to stabilize them and free up any potential for string binding, both of which are SG known problems since the 60s on top of the flexible neck

i still love em though. i sold my last Les Paul back in the early 90's. too damn heavy for me

do you like the stock 498T in the bridge?

Yep, sounds awesome. Had to wax pot them though. Lots of noise.

i thought they are wax potted from factory. ive never taken my covers off but thats what i read.

i like mine too but only with fuzz or OD. i can really hear how bad it sounds clean when I play my rickenbacker or a fender. but with distortion, its awsome. i have found that messing with the pole pieces and angle and height makes a big difference with the 498 and clean sounds too and most people dont bother to try that before they blab away on youtube about how BB's or 57's are better.
