How well do you know your V-8's?

Gotta admit, I missed two of 'em... But I'm 68 years old with a fading memory. That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it. Fun quiz here: Engine ID Game #2 (V8s from 1957 to 1972) - American Torque .com

I remember this from awhile back. I sucked. And here I've been a car nut for all of my life. Some things don't matter. You got a cool car, tell me about it. If I don't know a Buick nailhead, I'll still sleep OK tonight.

I don't know V-8s that well. I know a small block chevy, a big block chevy, a Buick 430/455, and I could probably pick out a 426 hemi, but anything else, and I'd be lost. I think I got lucky at 58%

hey if it is painted Ford Blue... it is most likely a Ford and... if the last answer was 455, then the next engine that looks different is likely not a 455

14/19. The Pontiac 370 threw me. The Pontiac 421 Tripower setup could have been a 389. I believe they are physically identical. not bad, considering i wasnt even alive when any of these motors came out...and i've never owned a car that had one of those motors. (well, ive worked on lots of old pontiac gto's)

the 428 and 455 were the same, block as well, right? the last goat i worked on was a 389 bored to 421. the '65 and '66 GTO's engines were different shades of blue, too. I believe the 65 was silver blue. the 66 was baby blue. when i was little, i went to the Tri-power Nationals with my dad. fun times.
