Last night I dreamt,
That somebody loved me.
No hope, no harm
Just another false alarm.

Last night I felt
Real arms around me
No hope, no harm
Just another false alarm.

One reoccurring night mare for me is that I'm back in college and realize I have finals in a class I signed up for but that I accidently forgot to drop.

But I'm up too early for dreams anymore. My wife has them, and when she wakes up she gives me dirty looks and says, "How dare you!"

As I was flying through the air, feeling the violence, temperature change, wind, etc, I was totally convinced that this one was the real deal, and my life was over. I flew for perhaps 10 seconds, then realized it was a dream only after I had woken up, and was super pumped on adrenaline. Not many fool me, so this one's been bugging me for a few days.

Your brain is telling you to lose the funny red wig. Probably the avatar too, lol.

Yeah, dream life is great. There is a whole field of study for artists, (performing and otherwise), that involves "dream work". A simplification is that you keep a notebook next to your bed and write down your dreams before you forget them in the AM and then reference them for the answers to questions you have about your work. There is also an aspect where you ask your SC to provide you with these answers before you crash for the night, and then hopefully the dreams might deliver something for you.

There was a pretty famous acting coach named Sandra Seacat that is a big practitioner of dream work. Lots of famous actors were studying with her back in the late '80s, not sure where she is now. I'm sure that this might sound goofy to some people but dreams contain a massive amount of info that is of use to creative people. The toy inventor story doesn't surprise me a bit, I'm sure that other inventors had visions and inspirations come to them in dreams.

The scripts in my head are all in perl.

I was stripped naked standing on a mountain top before me was every kind of girl, large ones, round ones, Brown ones, Black ones, tall ones CRAZY Ones...

I guess you dreamed you were Eric Burdon.

I try to program my dreams. I like the ones with great looking women.
I guess we know what that says.

Seriously, whenever I had a big job in construction or remodeling, I would dream about what was about to be done and how to do it. Not that I needed any ideas, but you know, the next day did seem to be pretty organized what with the night before run through.

I have very vivid dreams, very vivid nightmares, too, unfortunately....

I've been having a lot of dreams lately.

I have a great deal of frustrating dreams, usually trying to accomplish something with no luck.

Often people are chasing me with the intent to do harm, they are usually shooting at me. with these dreams I am almost always armed with a hand gun. I take aim and either the gun won't fire, or i shoot and hit target over and over, with no effect.

I recently had a dream that I was flying in the back of a small biz jet with an old friend, and the pilot stalled us into a forest. I was fairly convinced this was real. I snapped awake just as the wings started to brush the tree tops.

I dream in color. I have heard you dream in black and white, but I dream in color. Sometimes the next day I can remember specific colors. Anyone else experience this?

i had a dream a couple of weeks ago about a completely new avant garde bicycle drive train system. i jotted it down when i woke up, and it would completely work. other than a different way of doing it, there seems to be no benefit. it would just aesthetically be awesome.

the other day i had a dream that i saw an ex-gf (except in the dream, we had never dated before) at a cupcake bakery back home. we were chatting in line, and she gave me her phone number. i remember it saying "910-xxx-xxxx" i asked her where the heck area code 910 was...and she replied "oh, i just moved here from north carolina."

when i woke up, i looked up that area code, and sure enough it is from north carolina. consciously, i have never seen that area code before. it was kind of weird.

I use to solve accounting reconciliation problems in my sleep. I'd wake up with the answer, go to work the next day and bingo. Happened several times...weird. Guess my mind was working overtime.

I don't like my dreams, too many bad memories.

Everything you have ever seen, experienced, touched, heard etc is in that filing cabinet known as the Sub Conscience. If a piece of information is needed it is pulled out of memory and sent to the conscience mind.

The sub conscience mind is in essence a CPU, constantly organizing data, filing data and connecting pieces of data from which logical conclusions are drawn. Further on a genetic level there is a universal connection between all humans.

We access the subconscious through our dreams, imagination and feelings. All of which is subjective or qualitative in nature. Thus transcendental in nature.

I covered most of this territory almost 40 years ago...in other words I am very familiar with the imagery of the sub conscience and know very well how to load my words with meaning that resonates into the depths of what I term to be deep blue or the sub conscience brain. Symbolism one might say is a speciality of mine.

The empiricists among us would be foolish to deny the reality of the sub conscience brain and the imagery that arises from it. One should not think of those images in terms of being the meaningless irrational meanderings of the mind but give credence to the importance of what those images are telling us. In the end it enriches our lives as it gives us depth of character

Ever since reading your post, I dream of a teal-colored tank top with a pair of floaters in it.

My wife was mad at me for several days because of some dream she had about me.

I have a long-standing, recurring twighlight/semi-lucid experience that looks/feels like I am a living homunculus...I welcome it as it is so unlike anything else when it occurs...and no it is not induced by injestion of recreational substances.

Had a couple surgeries in the last couple years and was prescribed Vicodin for pain. During the first 3-4 days of taking it each time, I could direct my dreams as I wished. It was wonderful.

She is right, but then again she has to decipher the imagery...The subconscious does not deliver things at face value. One has to think about sub conscience imagery as a foreign language that needs to be translated
