How about beautiful things?

I've always admired the Italians, and their love / worship of beautiful things. I have to say that for the most part, our American culture is missing that, with the exception of our admiration of beautiful people.

I've been thinking of getting an F1 car, for use on snow and ice.

Well, I'm not a big fan of Frank Gehry, so your point rests well with me.

Beautiful - and a challenge to best that image. Just the fact that the angles don't get there makes it very dynamic.

That and the black stripe that stops at the rear tire...

I presume you meant current American culture...

Dating from the 60's backward America made some pretty beautiful things...

Last Saturday I saw a car very much like this caddie, not everyones cup of tea I know...

Original paint, original interior, original hub caps, all the chrome was intact, 43K original miles, "runs great and everything works". (no price)

My wife was patient while I stopped to go over and check it out (she is not a car person)

When I got back in the car she just looked at my face and said "honey If I I would buy it for you."

I could go on... post pictures of art deco locomotives, Indian motorcycles, the sweeping American automobiles from the 30's and 40's...

But you get the idea (and I need to get back to work )

with the exception of a scattering of '60s Ferraris, I think a series 1 etype -preferably a coupe- is the most beautiful car ever made

Craftsman-style building is beautiful, but copied from the japanese.

Art deco was the pinnacle, IMO.
Every edge and detail had to be custom.

Remember when F1 has more open rules and cars could sound like this?

Italy owns the words PASSION, SOUL, and LOVE of beauty. Not everything that came out of Italy was a winner, but come on even the Carabinieri have bags designed by Gucci and uniforms designed by the Italian fashion house of Valentino.
