What a perfectly awful name for a reasonably good looking SUV.

"The name is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger and according to Porsche it embodies the suppleness, power, and dynamics of the new model."

It embodies the suppleness, power, and wheels of a cheap drug dealer's car looking thing.

I'm interested - I like Cayennes, but they are bigger than I need, but I still would like to keep the AWD (I have a CRV now). I really like the looks of the Audi Q5s (which is what they are basing the Macan on), so I think it will be sharp looking. I'll have my order in.

+1. I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but the three weeks I had a Cayenne loaner (a few years back) were an eye opener for me. Now if they make it smaller and sharper, like an upscale Subaru ( ) I could be very tempted. I'll at least keep an open mind about it until I see / drive it.

...not that I can afford it anyway.
