I may use superglue. If I can 'cap' the finger with something rigid, that might work. I won't be able to feel the string as well, but that would be the case anyway. It seems as though I have severed quite a few nerves. I can't feel most of the end of my finger. Until I put pressure on it, then WOW!

Superglue and a finger bandage and some morphine. Kidding. Sort of.
I am a vet also and SG works great..you may need a few layers though. Also you may need to take a bottle with you to reapply during the breaks. Also may want to cut the finger off a latex glove..thin...and tape in on down low. Dunno if you can play this way but try it. Man, I feel for ya'.

The finger was traumatized a bit, but survived. I put a Liquid Bandage on as a first coat, then some cool medical tape that sticks but also breathes. Then I coated that with superglue. Had to rebuild it after Set 3.

All is well. The audience danced their asses off. There was a bachelorette party at the club. Drunken bachelorettes make for good audiences.
The drunker they get the better you sound..always. Glad it went well...now heal boy heal!
