I think Paul is probably a decent guy in person, but in my mind there is something not quite right about trolling someone's thread where they are proudly posting pictures of a car they are building.

Seriously, somethings a bit off

Whatever it is, I think we are seeing a fracture in PPOT, much like we had before the PARF split. Maybe it's time....

Hash it out as you will, folks...I'm gonna answer some emails, then head on up to the Cue Ball for a bit of pool playing.

That's a mean looking car. What kind of headlights, Nissan? They look great.

Paul,
It appears that you are dissing guys like John Walker, Grady Clay, Early S Man (who was still alive and active when you still owned your 911), and others of the same calibre too numerous to mention in this short post.

That is bad form, Paul, bad form.

That's a seriously nice 944. I'm a big fan of the 924 GTS headlight setup. Makes the car look much less RX-7-ish.

Only issue with the car that I can see is that he installed the steering column on the wrong side?

I have not laughed that hard in a while, thanks Jake!

Wow, were you guys in the same class as the 911s? How did the lap times compare to them when the car was healthy?

Makes sense from a racing standpoint, gets quite a bit of weight out of high and forward....

Paul lives in Oregon, where Rothsport is located. If Paul lived in Seattle, he would most likely bring his car to John Walker.

I like Paul's posts. A little good-natured needling is fine by me....

When the car was healthy, it was very fast. Here are some results, pretty sure there was a class win as well.

Quote:
Broadfoot 944 Turbo at Rolex24 at Daytona 1999. Finished 13th in GT3 class.

Two Broadfoot GTR Race Cars at Homestead Miami Grand Am race. Finished 2nd and 3rd in GTO class.

Broadfoot 944 GTR Turbo at Lime Rock 2000. Finished 3rd in GTO class.
Of course the 944 this thread about is very sweet!!

Damn, it's only March, and the best post of the year has been posted. What will we do for the rest of the year?

The Mustang is more of Shetland Pony in the company of this particualr 944. Who cares what it cost. It's unique. Bespoke items usually are expensive.

I like Paul too, and enjoy the majority of his posts. I do find his porsche bashing *on a porsche forum* a bit neurotic though
