Regular didn't burn and you can get them for about 75 cents per piece. They last for two to three years (usually more under normal use) compare to a 15 dollar light bulb that last 15 years (not to mention they are not so bright) why are they getting rid of them? Somebody somewhere failed math. Did I mention I HATE CFLs.

All the above problems are exactly why I would out and bought a full pallet of 100, 75 & 60 watt normal bulbs. I wont ever need to buy any bulbs the rest of my life. By the time I die and leave them to my kids, they will actually be worth something. lol
had CFL's go out within minutes and non have ever lasted more then 3 months. |

The other bulbs will last a lot longer and use a lot less electricity doing it.

Wish I could chime in with a story about how my CFLs didn't last, but none of mine have ever burned out. It's getting to the point where I want them to start going out because I want to put in some LED bulbs.

I put 18 CFL outdoor floods, at 18 watts each in my backyard using one 20 Amp breaker.

They are a joke, no doubt a net loser in the energy column when considering the waste, production cost, etc... But saving energy was never really the point.
