Podcast question.....

Anyone do podcasts?

I would like to archive a series of lectures in podcast form.

Can someone explain to me as simply as possible what this involves?

Can I subsequently email these?

How different is this from You Tube? What are the advantages of one over the other?

Assume I know nothing.

A podcast is a combination of an audio file (mp3 usually) and a RSS feed that points to them. Subscribing to a podcast really means getting the RSS feed on a regular basis and seeing what is new in it.

For your purposes, just hosting mp3 files on a server and then having a page of links pointing to them should work.
