Was that the stunt rehearsal for the stunt in the Pirates Movie#3 that you posted, where they ended up having to zip tie the guys ankles together?

Si

If you remember the movie (Pirates 2) Johnny Depp was on a spit to be rotisseried by the cannibals, he (stuntman) gets away tied to the spit, and jumps a small canyon and loosens himself up and unravels. The centrifugal forces spread his legs apart violently and ripped his femoral artery.

No help, just a story.

I was visiting a friend up in the Oakland hills many moons ago and there was some drinking going on. On a dare, we decided to do a flip on the living room floor, which was not at ground level. My friend flips onto a beanbag chair thing and then it's my turn. I say watch this and flip and land on the floor. I landed in a sitting position, legs straight out. It hurt, but being drunk, didn't notice at the time.

I crashed on the couch that night and apparently got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I woke up on the floor, near the bathroom, seems like I was headed back to the couch. By this time, I wasn't so drunk, but hungover and forgot what had happened. I got up and tried to walk and couldn't. I sprained/tore/whatever, both groin muscles. I used the railing at the top of the stairs to help my way back, but had a nice distance to get to the couch without anything to hold on to. That was extremely painful! I think the next day, I decided to brave it and climbed on the back of my friends dirt bike and we went to go ride on a dirt track. he goes around, hands the bike to me, I painfully climb on and tried to get it in gear and go. I went about 200' and fell over. That was it. I could not get back up.

Turns out that even though the living room was not at ground level, it still had a layer of concrete, which prevented the floor from giving, much like it does in a boxing or wrestling ring.

I feel for ya! I really do.
