I have several 64GB USB drives. I agree that DVD and Bluray are going to be going away soon. Imagine buying a USB drive instead of a bluray disk.

This is so true. I have a blu-ray player in my house that's never seen a blu-ray disc. I don't need them since all of the new blu-ray players are DLNA capable. The player simply talks to my NAS and plays all of my movies over the stream. Bridge over the river kwai in 1080p is very nice.

Change companies, and you'll have to start from scratch.
