what amount of cash would transform your life?
what amount of cash would transform your quality of life?
and I don't mean to run out and get hookers and blow lol for me it would be about 10k, that would let me take care of debt, let the wife finish school, and get some health/dental care going..........could probably accomplish it with 5k........ amazing how a ” small” amount could make the difference....... and before someone says it, we are already living like frugal cave people........i can't even explain how much we've cut back on over the past 5 years........ what would do it for you?

Can't really say. My wife & I live comfortably and thought we don't have a lot of money we don't have any bills, have health insurance, tiime together, and actually want for nothing. Neither she nor I have any feelings about wanting any large amount of money. An amount of $5K to $20K wouldn't solve any problems we have (which basically are none), and I really think I wouldn't change my life style if I somehow came across really big money.

I unexpectedly inherited $50K a few weeks ago. I put it in the bank. I'd put it in a CD, but a one year CD is currently paying 0.45% or so. A couple of million might change my life a bit, one million wouldn't because I'm about 7 years from "retirement", and I couldn't retire now on an additional million today.

that's kind of my point, we are happy, enjoy the little things etc...........
I took her out to dinner for her birthday........was the first time in probably a year......and it was nice.... we had gone from 2 very good incomes to one decent income and it really dragged us down financially (lost 2nd car to bank, etc). we both have some minor health issues, dental etc........no insurance as I work for a very small company which regulations prevents us from group rates......etc etc.......so **** is very expensive for us........ I'm looking for what would turn everything around in aspect.....can't live healthily of of ramens lol

I guess enough that would allow us to not have to worry about working for basic survival and instead allow the wife and I to concentrate on life and family. An actual dollar amount - less than what Alex Rodriguez earns in 6 games. Sure less $$ would have a good impact but only temporary - not life transforming.

quarter of a mil would pay off my house and change my life BIGTIME!
about 15k would cover the rest of my wife's schooling and would really be cool. $20 so i dont have to walk my lazy butt to the atm, so i can buy lunch...would make me smile.

Now in 993 land ...
|
Luckily my only worry is retirement and college expenses and being able to save up enough for it. Any extra cash towards that would be nice but would not be a life changer, unless it would be enough where I can retire early. Of course, a biturbo 993 may "change my life", but that isn't the spirit of the OP's question.

$5, would have a Subway sandwich for lunch.
Seriously though, I don't think any amount of money would change my life much. I would still go to work every day and do what I do. Maybe do more free stuff, let the office manager keep everything we get for services provided. Probably would go to Turkey, buy Paul's old green 911S back, drive up to Oregon and do donuts in his front yard, that would be pretty cool.

$20 - $30 would give my kids a happy day
$30k would get me a good 996 so I don't have to be under my 911 anymore. Couple hundred $k would help to pay off my house. Could $mil... I wouldn't have to worry about losing job so much.

Transform my life?
Have to be at least 100k. Hopefully with some work and luck I could turn that into a bunch more over time. Living off my portfolio would be great. A few 100k would get me to that point a lot quicker. |

$231,000 lol.
That is my debt load. House, cars, unsecured debt, student loans. I would feel like a "rich" man if I had no debt. I figure even with my family's moderate income, we would live differently with no debt at all. I have fleeting moments of wanting to sell everything I own just to reset the debt lock to zero, but living with in-laws, and driving a $500 beater just doesn't cut it, lol. I will ride this debt train continuing to make my payments until I climb out of the hole I have dug for myself.

If I could get my hands on an amount of money right now, I would Welcome 18K.....that would pay off my Truck AND that absolute PITA of a Credit card balance that I have been carrying for well over 5 years.
I paid off ALL my CC about 15 years ago....and I swore I would never get into Debt EVER again. Life throws curve balls at you sometimes.....you got to survive. At least I know that most of the Debt I acquired afterwards was to pay for School. I am even SAVING to buy my Porsche CASH now...!!!!! Benny

But it really made no difference, certainly not a big difference, in my life. It's a nice feeling, for sure, but still have to show up for work every day, etc. So day to day living is exactly the same as it was before. Now, if I were handed $2 million cash . . . |

How much would it take to wake up each morning and do what YOU want to do? That is the correct answer.
