My federal aid is here!

I just looked on-line at my checking account. My money shows as deposited.

I am real sure that is the first government money I have ever received that was not earned or due from a refund.

My plan: Spent 100% of it at LOCAL owned businesses, and tip any restaurant worker big tips. Gonna blow it all on food at local owned restaurants.

How much did you get?

I don't meet the requirements... sadness for me.

Hookers and blow! Oh wait, hookers don’t meet the CDC guidelines.

Supposedly we all got an Obama check back in 2008, which I don’t remember.

My understanding is an advancement from your 2021 tax refund.

Not free, a loan

I did not get a check back then.

I have never received any government "free cheese" before. No loans, no support, or FEMA aid, or whatever. I have just sent money to them since I was 16, and just sent in my estimated first quarterly taxes for 2020.

I will not miss a paycheck and am supposed to get this stimulus check.
Wifey and I were trying to figure out who to donate it to, but most (all?) charities only give a small percentage to the needy.
Wifey is Filipina, so we decided to donate to her family in the Philippines.
I don't know the final numbers, but they bought truck loads of 50# sacks of rice and a LOT of canned goods.
I know it's US stimulus money, but by donating there it fed over 100 families for a week.
Since then we have done a round 2 and round 3 since there are so many families starving.
To stimulate the US economy, I am spending all the gas money I am saving by working at home on car parts.

Not true per what I have read. But it’s definitely not free, we (taxpayers) are going to pay for it.

That is great. I have worked with a Filipina for the past twenty years, the best person on this or any other planet. As well, I have been to the Philippines many times.

She knows how much the Tribes mean to me, but I have started to help her charity in Macabebe.

I remember...I used mine to purchase a Heineken mini-kegerator.
Good investment..I still have it.
Didn't know at that time that it would not work for other brands.

Thanks Steve.

I am glad to see I am not getting anything and it will go to the people that need it.

Of course I will still be paying for it.

Told my house cleaning crew we'd pay them whether they show up or not.

Been tipping the snot out of food delivery and curbside pickup, up to 50% depending.

I hear plenty of of delivery people complaining people are not tipping.

I can only assume the none tippers assume the delivery persons pay/tip is fully covered in the total.

I think part of that problem is that people are running out of cash for tips.
The atm machines are a no-no.

No, those are the limits of the full amount, then they start to phase out up to $99k/$198k.

Plus you get $500 per dependant at home. So a family of 4 would get $3400 if they make a combined $150k or less, any more than $150k and it's a linear reduction up to $198k...meaning if you made $198,001, you're SOL.
