Wow David, that looks like a great hillbilly home defense arm! Beautiful. Have you taken it to the shop yet? I would probably have sawed it off completely (within legal limits) just for fun, including the stock!

Thanks guys. Yes I took it to the shop with me on friday. they were amazed. They offered me $300 for it and of course I turned that down, so we took it out and shot a box of shells through it over at my BIL's farm. What a hoot! Yeah it would make a very nice home gun. You can shoot it one handed and it will blow a hole in a door the size of yer head! I too thought of cutting the stock also but one of the guys at the shop said not to because if somebody bought it and wanted it shorter then they would have to pay me to do it. I liked that thinking. I think it's a keeper though really as I have always wanted an old timey sawn off but I hate to cut off any SXS's. This one fit the donor specs real well. I bought a Crescent 12 ga from an LEO that came into the shop on friday as well. Another junker. I gave him $25 for it. It may be another chopping candidate. I'll be like the Jessie James of short shotguns. LOL. This one is so old school I love it.
