Too much for the elevator

So I'm in a hotel in ABQ today. At the elevator there are 8 women, six are huge, like 300 lbs each is my guess. I'm thinking this elevator isn't going to like it. So I don't get on, they close the door and it opens again beeping. They can't figure out what's going on. I get on another elevator. Sure enough it was over loaded.

I just checked 2,500 lbs capacity, so I might have been off a bit on the weight. These were Big women, like 5' 10" and huge.

I do have a fascinating life, that's why I blog here about stuff like this. On the other hand, "The Lone Ranger" is doing well. Hope it does as well as "Avengers" and not "John Carter".

They have special Ambulances now for obese fattys* and these are equipped with electric winches to pull them up inside after they have a heart attack.

You'd think we could just stick a wick in them after they keel over and solve our energy problems right there.

Obviously I'm misinformed but I always assumed that the entire surface area could be covered in human density and the elevator still would have juice left. Today I found out I was wrong.

i once watched three plus sized women get out of a jacuzzi. it was a good lesson in displacement. if i had a calculator, i could have solved for their collective volume sans head and shoulders.

have you seen how wide a wheelchair is these days? sad. i wish it wasnt like this.

When I was a computer tech at a bank I was just about to say "I can feel an earthquake Guys" but something stopped me. Thank gawd I didn't. It was a big girl called Les' walking over to talk to me. The floor was MOVING. Les' (short for Leslie I think, although she was another sort of les') had a stool to sit on as a chair big and strong enough hadn't been invented yet. I often thought that stool is going to have to be sugically removed one day.
