The 5 second rule. Food or candy that feel on the floor was OK to eat as long as you could get to it before the dog.

As kids we would lay on the floor watching TV and eat a sandwich after playing with the dog.

Took my son for his 5-yr check up and the doctor said no more whole milk...only skim. And my son is in the 25th percentile for height and weight. Something about whole milk is bad for people -- it raises cholesterol. I think my dad only has whole milk to drink growing up and he's still alive and kickin.

I started this thread wanting a serious reply, but I literally pi$$ed myself laughing at some of the responses.

PCB is a really good one. They were really a positive. They can't burn! Electrical transformers were made really safe with them. It was the dioxin that was the problem. If the process could have been made better, it might still be used today.

Did someone say lead paint?

A big one: DDT! DDT needs another look to help with mosquito control against malaria.
