Another Drinking Question

Saw on the news this morning that "new" guidelines state that if you've ever binged, or had trouble "remembering" (even once) then you are an alcoholic even if it was decades ago and you haven't had a drink since . Utter stupidity imo...a "drinking problem" isn't something to make light of, but back in the day, I'd venture that virtually EVERYONE I know (particularly everyone I went to college with) are now technically alcoholics with a few exceptions. I don't do what I used to do...FWIW.

When I lived in Pakistan, the guidelines were if you drank alcohol, you were an alcoholic. In fact, I think I had to sign something to those lines to get my alcohol license.
