Well, it might not be nimble exactly, but it would probably be a lot of fun.

These Nascar road racers were included in very mixed grids at the Mitty races at road Atlanta that I attended recently, and were a big eye opener for me. They gave very little away in the corners. And were often mixing it up with Porsches, Corvettes, even lotuses. And doing well, quite surprising to see.
Heres the only pic I have of one on track, being over taken by a Ford GT, but not as quickly as I would have thought.. ![]() Defiantly a lot of performance for the money. Cheers Richard Last edited by tevake; 05-19-2012 at 11:39 AM.. |

Richard the car in your picture is actually a late model, not a nascar cup car. Pretty close other than the body is probably aluminum instead of steel.
BTW- I know the guy who built the gas pedal in the car being sold.... Me.

Duk Thanks for the clarification, I know very little about Stock Cars.
Here is another of that type car that really impressed with its speed and handling, any idea which series it came from? ![]() After building the throttle pedal surly you had to go for a test drive, I hope :-) You know, just to be sure it could reach the floor ok. Cheers Richard |

The car in the foreground looks to be an old "Busch" car ~80. That is the series known now as the Nationwide series. The 41 car is is a cup car from ~02.
Never got to drive a cup car yet. But have driven a few of the old Busch cars.
