Hey fellas, I know a lot have moved on...

...if you guys that have moved on found something more enriching and a lot less trivial, and you see this, shoot me a PM. I love to sit around, read and chat. Not loving this place much anymore.

Sorry to hear Milt. I don't have time to spend on other sites & just check onto this one mostly in the eveniing & once in a while during the earlier part of the day & never spend more than an hour max while also doing other things. Hope you don't cut us off completely. You have a lot of wisdom to offer.

I've really been enjoying my time spent with real people, in real life, talking about things i actually know something about and enjoy. It's really worked wonders. End of story.

It can be "negative" here but you have to read past that.

This forum has been an indispensable part of my life.
Definitely like to get you folks' opinions on many different things. Being relatively new has kept up the enthusiasm as I really don't have all the answers in a changing world. The 986 section is saving me $$$. Good post Zeke. I am certainly not one for sitting in a bar getting pie eyed so this is the safe alternative.
Nobody swings punches at me and I don't have to drink and drive. I share comments from this forum with my wife. CheersI have to say what people put on Facebook amazes me. I am more comfortable on this forum. Can't explain it though!

I really enjoy this forum, there's just something about it that I haven't found on any other forum. Maybe that's why I've been here almost 10 years! Not 100% good, but I ignore the bad and remember those who have been kind, helpful and patient with me...

Yep, sounds like you need a time out. I've had to do it a few times over the years. Haven't checked, but are you active over in Parf?

Negative? So little of that.

So much knowledge. This is my favorite forum.

It seems that people who currently own or have previously owned Porsches have a lot to offer.

You don't find anywhere else what you find here.

Just stay out of PARF. The children play there.

I hear ya Milt. Seems like it went downhill about the time the political forum was started. Now every thread gets politicized.

I don't even recognize most of the users on here anymore.

I got stuck in PARF for a little while, now I just stay right away! I love the 911 tech forums and have learned so much about my car thru them since joining. I also enjoy spending a few mins almost daily looking thru your guys posts in Off Topic as well.
I once even had a fellow Pelican reach out and really try to help me thru a depressed period in my life....not many internet forum sites that have that kind of membership. Try to stay away from the BS, I have enjoyed your off topic comments as much as your technical references and hope you have a change of mind and stick with us sir!
Mike B.

ps....I am not done mining your brain for Porsche knowledge!!!!

PARF makes me physically ill, so I don't spent much, if any, time there... So many people here have helped me in so many ways overs the years, I can't keep track any more... Great people here and I haven't found that anywhere else...

I've tried MazdaSpeed, drum and musician, home brewing, ammo reloading, guns and collectible weapons, and other forums and there are just too many jerks and urinating contests for me to want to return. I always return here, though...

Show me the way. (By PM's, of course ) Don't start one of your famous crap and trash threads.

Well, why did I say that? Of course this will be a trash thread. That's why I gotta get out of here. From 25,000 on it's been nothing but a bad, bad habit.
How many times have you tried this already?

Log out and go work on your car. You don't have to start a new thread every time you need a break from the forum

Agree! This is the internet. Do you really take it to heart so deeply that you must announce a departure because it has caused such irreparable pain? I just don't get these posts. I mean, if you really don't like it here, why not just simply leave? Either for a short time, or permanently....whatever suits you. No announcement or proclamation is really needed, is there?

I for one, like this forum. Got involved years ago on the Technical side. Three Porsche's have come and gone since then, but the information, personalities, respectful communications (for the most part) and level of maturity (not many "sick" graphics threads or elaborations about the latest set of 22's with spinners) have made it enjoyable to check in from time to time.

Ultimately, if someone espouses something or gets a bit surly, it's really easy to log off or read something else. Life is too short man. Ease up and enjoy.
